In this topic we explain the most common reasons why EasyMail doesn't send a message and give possible solutions to them.
The EasyMail records the log for every processed message. The log shows the steps of transmitting the message to the recipient and lets you know the reason why your message was not sent. To view the message log, go to the Send Manager, select the Outbox, select an email and click View Log button. You will see a full log of the selected email. Here are the most common errors you can see in the log when your message is not sent:
1. ALL emails stay in the Outbox with the errors like "Failed to connect: [10051] Network is unreachable", "Failed to connect: [10060] Connection timed out" and/or "Failed to connect: [10065] No route to host".
This means that either your ISP closed direct connections to the port 25 for all ISP except of itself, or your local firewall blocks access to the port 25. For correct work of the program you need to have access to the port 25. If you're operating within a restrictive firewall, as most users of large ISP do, then you won't be able to use the EasyMail in the direct send mode. This happens mainly with the largest ISP such as AOL, MSN, and Prodigy. These ISP are set up as intranets, while EasyMail needs a true internet connection in order to function properly. Most of free ISP such as Juno, WorldShare, EarthLink, NetZero, and others also block the port 25 and allow you sending email using their email servers only. A workaround for this is to check Use ISP's SMTP Server for relaying option in EasyMail Accounts settings, and enter your ISP's mail server name, and the port 25. This usually reads something like mail.your-isp.com or smtp.your-isp.com. If you are not sure, you can pick up the SMTP server name for the Accounts settings in your regular email client. Look for the record in Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field or something similar. Or, you can call your ISP and ask. They will be glad to tell you, because the same information is needed to set up Microsoft Outlook Express. To save the Account settings in the EasyMail, click OK. Then try to re-send the messages from the Outbox. To do this, click Send button in the Send Manager screen but not in the Message Control as usually.
Tip: Avoid maintaining only AOL, Hotmail, etc. email addresses in one group but mix them with the email addresses from other domains. If this is not possible, for your convenience you can separate the emails from aol.com, hotmail.com, etc. domains to a specific group in the EasyMail Address Book, and send the message to that group using the SMTP server of your Internet Service Provider.
2. DNS Error: No email servers were found
Make sure you properly configured the EasyMail settings:
1) enter your domain name (but not the email address) into Domain name for HELO field in the EasyMail Delivery settings.
2) use your Windows DNS settings in the EasyMail DNS settings. If they are not automatically detected, click Detect DNS button and copy Windows DNS settings into the Primary and Secondary DNS boxes.
3) clear the program's DNS cache. To clear the DNS cache, select all the emails in the Outbox folder (Ctrl+A), click the right mouse button and select Remove SMTP server(s) from DNS Cache option. You can also set Clear internal DNS cache every 2(5) days option in the EasyMail DNS settings so the program will automatically clear the DNS cache every 2 (5) days.
3. DNS error: Interrupted
This error means that either your DNS server was overloaded at the moment and could not give you the results, or this domain does not exist. You can try to do the following:
-decrease the number of threads in the EasyMail Delivery settings;
-use the DNS settings of your ISP. To do this, copy the Windows DNS Settings to the Primary and Secondary DNS boxes in the EasyMail DNS Settings;
-drag and drop the emails with that error from the Not Delivered folder to the Outbox and resend them later.
4. Disconnected [10053] software cause connection abort
The Software Caused Connection Abort error usually occurs if a third party program doesn't allow the EasyMail access to the Internet. This usually can be either firewall or an antivirus scanner. If you have firewall, make sure that the EasyMail is added to the list of the applications that are allowed to access the Internet. If you decide to remove firewall from your computer, you must completely uninstall it but not only delete from the Startup section because if you don't uninstall it, firewall kernel may still load at startup without you knowing it and block some programs. As to the antivirus scanner, we usually suggest that you disable it the time they are working with the EasyMail. The antivirus program can catch outgoing emails before they are sent and scan them. This usually slows down the sending process, or may not allow the messages to go out with the error like Software Caused Connection Abort or something similar.
5. DNS Error 10049: Can't assign requested address
To avoid the "Error: [10049] Can't assign requested address", open the DNS settings in the EasyMail and click Set Default button. Then click OK to save the settings and try to re-send the emails. You might select some interface in the past (or maybe it is currently selected), and the program remembered it. Then the IP address can change but the EasyMail still uses that old IP, which is not the right one anymore. Thus, the error occurs. So, to clear the IP address from the program's memory, you should click Set Default button. In this case the EasyMail will find the right interface by itself.
6. 550 You are not allowed to send mail Please refer to http://www.spamhaus.org, dsbl.org and njabl
550 Dynamic IPs/open relays blocked. Contact mailto:openrelay@abuse.earthlink.net.
553 5.3.0 ylpvm05,DNSBL: To request removal of, xx.xxx.xxx.xxx, send the complete error mes
The IP address xx.xxx.xxx.xxx, from which you sent the messages is listed within spam databases. The recipient's SMTP server can be configured so that it checks the sender's IP address against a list of spam databases before letting a message through. If it finds that the IP is blacklisted, the message from this IP is not accepted. You can try to re-send the messages that stayed in the Outbox with the above errors through your ISP SMTP server. If you use the ISP SMTP server, the server's IP address but not yours will be stamped in the message header. Just check Use ISP SMTP server for relaying option in the EasyMail Accounts settings, enter the SMTP server name and the port 25. Then try to send messages. Note, to send a message to the addresses that are in the Outbox, you must click Send button in the Send Manager screen but not in the Message Control as usually.
7. 550 5.7.1 <(email address)>... Relaying denied
550 .net 022: Your current IP address is not allowed to relay to xxxxxxx.yyy
551 Command RCPT User not local and relaying not permitted from you
Your ISP SMTP server must require POP3 authentication. Receive incoming emails from the appropriate POP3 server with your regular email client first and then at once try to send emails with the EasyMail.
8. 502 Command is locally disabled
Command not implemented
Uncheck My server requires authentication option in the EasyMail Accounts settings, and then re-send the emails from the Outbox.
9. 421 ...: Too many concurrent SMTP connections from this IP address; please try again later.
450 too frequent connects from...
Your ISP SMTP server limits the number of emails you can send at the same time. Try to decrease the Threads (maybe to 1) in the Delivery settings of the EasyMail. If this doesn't help, try to uncheck Use ISP SMTP server for relaying option in the EasyMail Account settings and re-send the emails in a direct send mode.
10. 421 Connection not accepted at this time
450: Too Many Connections
max connection rate exceeded
Your ISP SMTP server must limit the number of emails you can send within a period of time. You can clarify this question with your ISP. To avoid this error, you can:
1) try to send the emails directly bypassing your ISP SMTP server. This way there is no limitation on the number of emails you can send. Just uncheck Use ISP SMTP server for relaying option in the EasyMail Accounts settings and try to send messages. Note that to work in a direct send mode, the EasyMail needs access to the port 25. So, this port must be open. If it is closed by your ISP, the direct sending is not a solution.
2) setup the program's Scheduler to automatically send emails in batches every period of time (available in G-Lock EasyMail Professional only).
3) switch to a different ISP.
4) purchase a web hosting. When purchasing this service you can mention that you need to send a newsletter to xx subscribers at a regular time and you will be provided with the SMTP server.
11. 354 Enter message, ending with "." on a line by itself ... Process terminated
354 Start mail input; end with <CRLF>.<CRLF>
354 go ahead
It looks like the mail server of your recipient doesn't allow your emails to go through because of the message content. The SMTP servers may have filters that analyze all incoming messages and reject the emails with some words in the content they see inappropriate. The emails with a big size and/or big attachment may also be filtered and rejected. It depends on the mail server settings. So, you should revise your email. For example, if you send pictures of a big size and/or big attachment, consider placing them on a web site and include and URL to them into the message body instead. Also, it is preferable to send text emails instead of HTML messages. You can check the content of your message with a special program Lyris' Content Checker. Lyris' Content Checker tells you how your newsletter ranks in Spam Assassin. All you have to do is to copy your text and paste it into the box on their site. They'll run your free report and e-mail a copy to you. It usually arrives within minutes. The report will tell you exactly which words are costing you points. Basically you should be concerned only if your score is over 5 points. If so, you can either delete those words or disguise them. All the instructions are described on this page: http://www.lyris.com/contentchecker/.
The issues above are the only valid reasons why EasyMail doesn't send email. This software is one of the most advanced of its kind, and is currently being used successfully by thousands of satisfied customers.

Many ISP mail servers filter incoming emails and automatically delete messages where the email address from TO field is different from the actual recipient's address. Hence, you won't know if the message actually reached the intended recipient.
If you enter a fake or non-existing email address in FROM: box, you may get the error message like this: (or ISPs simply accept and delete your emails without notification). 572 Relay not authorized or Not local host… not a gateway or 553 Domain isn't in my list of allowed domains To protect a mail server from being used by spammers to relay their messages, most ISP mail servers have some requirements for REPLY TO email addresses and perform a reverse nslookup to forbid you sending emails if the sender or recipient is a non-local user. Non-local user means that MAIL FROM or REPLY TO fields contain an email domain that is different from the log-in domain address.
hotmail addresses stay in outboxI send about 600 messages twice a month and for 2 months now, all the subscribers with hotmail addresses (about 100) stay in the outbos with the message "500 No Data Winsock Error No. 11004"
I already tried to decrease the number of threads from 20 to 10 and the time out is 120 seconds. The switch is already on to "find recipients at all SMTP Servers. I also contacted msn and hotmail to know if there is a particular reason for this. Can you help me please
hotmail not deliveredI looked for those dns files but cannot find them in general settings. I event tried a search! Could you tell me how to find them?
thank you
If you installed EasyMail to a default location, here is the path to these files:
C:\Program Files\G-Lock Software\G-Lock EasyMail Pro\General\Settings Then, you can check the 'Do not use internal DNS cache' option in the DNS settings of EasyMail and copy the Windows DNS settings to the Primary and Seconadry DNS boxes.
Still not going...I did all that you wrote marisp step by step and still my emails still in the inbox and they don't go out. What can we do?
Please, post here a few logs of emails that stayed in the Outbox folder and I will be able to explain you more in details why your messages are not gone out. For this purpose, go to the Send Manager, select the Outbox of the appropriate group, select an email and click 'View Log' button. You will see a full log of the selected email.
Cannot sendWell it stopped automatically and there is nothing in the view log
Maybe you try to send the messages from the account, which doesn't exist anymore. I.e. you may have renamed or deleted the account after the messages had been moved to the Outbox. In this case if you click Send button, the emails are not gone and the Result column shows the "Account Not Found" error. Please, clear the Outbox folder in the Send Manager, switch to the Message Control screen, select the groups and the account again, click Send button, and see what happens now.
Hello againI did what you just told me many time from a different group and still did not send, it processes 2 and it stops after like everytime, nothing shows in the View Log it is empty and no such an error is showing. It just stop sending automatically. Please help and thank you.
Hello againIn the General Tab the Enable for all messages is checked, but in the Results Column in the Send manager I have an error saying " Table Error DBISAM Engine Error # 8961 Header information corrupt in table 'DNS_Cache.Dat"
Please help thank you.
