G-Lock Software Forum Rules and Regulations

These rules and regulations are designed to clarify the responsibilities of G-Lock Software forum members. Please read and become familiar with them.

General Terms

1. New users are required to register to post on this forum.

2. Before posting a support question users are encouraged to read existing posts and try to solve the problem by themselves.

3. The tech support is offered only for legal versions of G-Lock Software products downloaded from G-Lock Software site. No pirated or crack versions obtained from third party sources are supported.

4. The forum administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time.

5. We don't guarantee a response nor a solution to problems/questions posted but we will do our best to ensure every topic is given adequate attention. Once you have posted a topic, please be patient as it may take some time for a response. Remember this service is free and all who offer support/advice are volunteers.


Forum Rules

1. Posts are to be relevant to G-Lock Software products. Spam, advertisement posts as well as posts promoting or asking information about non-G-Lock Software products will be removed.

2. Posts are to be in the way respectful of other users. Posts with an abusive, vulgar, pornographic, etc. content will be removed. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. is up to the administrators and moderators and not users.

3. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Posts linking to or asking for information on warez, cracks, etc. or re-printing material without permission will be removed.

4. Posts are to be composed in a way consistent with "normal writing". Users repeatedly abusing emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. will be warned.

5. Write an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles: "Help please help!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of proper titles: "Restore deleted messages", "Enable message cache not working", "Cannot import Address Book", etc.

6. Describe your problem in a direct and concise manner. Vague questions may be left unanswered.

7. Linking to 3rd party sites are allowed only if they direct users to the sources which may help them resolve the problem or find an answer to a posted question. Offsite links to offensive and G-Lock Software competitors' sites will be removed. General links to a site (rather than specific forum, topic or item) not available here will be considered as spamming/advertizing and removed.

8. The above terms are applicable to private messaging too. Abuse of the PM system will lead to warnings and/or the revocation of private messaging.


Signatures

1. Signatures are to contain up to five lines of text of a small or normal size and/or one image of no more than 60px in height, 468px in width and 6KB in size. Signatures containing an image of this size may also include one line of a small size text. Signatures containing an image of 30px in height can include up to three lines of a small size text, or two lines of a normal size text. Images of 15px in height or less can allow up to three lines of a normal size text, or four lines of a small size text.

2. The text size is to be between 9 and 12 (small and normal). The text and images in signatures are subject to the same conditions as posts with the respect of decency.

3. Links are permitted in signatures. Links can point to non-G-Lock Software material, commercial ventures, etc. Links are included within the text and image limits above.


Avatars

1. Personal avatars are allowed on this forum. User defined avatars are to be no larger than 90 pixels square, not exceed 6KB in size, contain no animation, and contain no image which attempts to portray the user as having an official status here (e.g. mimiking ranks or copying avatars of team members).

2. Avatars are subject to the same conditions of the decency respect as posts and signatures.


Privacy Policy

1. G-Lock Software respects the user's privacy. To register on this forum, G-Lock Software requires a username and an email address. All other details are optional. Your email address is used only for confirming your registration details, sending a password or private message. G-Lock Software Forum also has the ability to send you emails informing you of replies if you elect.

2. G-Lock Software does not disclose, rent or sell members' email addresses or other users' information to any third party, unless you specially request it.

3. G-Lock Software may disclose a user's information in the case if we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) G-Lock Software rights or property, other G-Lock Software Forum users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. G-Lock Software may disclose or access a user's information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain and improve our products and services.
