Well, I don't know how to start to troubleshoot this. According to godaddy, i have the right settings (as well as in accordance to another post I found by SEARCHING AS I SHOULD! haha).
Just a spinning disc. All I'm looking for is some direction on how to troubleshoot this and diagnose it.
smtpout.secureserver.net ports 80 or 3535
user name/pass entered correctly
tried multiple secure connection settings.
Spinning disc.. No clue on where to turn next.. Done some google searches, searches on the forums.. I'm to my wits end.. and have to ask for someone's guidance here.
I have the latest version of both your widget and of WP.
thanks
spinning disc as well..

Re: spinning disc as well..well.. sending through a regular email client, i'm able to authenticate/send through smtpout.secureserver.net 80
I think the problem is the fact that there isn't an option for "Use secure authentication". There are options for using a secure connection, but not authentication.. If I was pointed in a way to fix this in the script, i would.. but i have no experience scripting..
Re: spinning disc as well..well, I found an smtp auth setting that was 'false' in the phpmailer file. I set it to true. didn't work, haha. I know nothing.. gonna keep trying
Re: spinning disc as well..sigh.. uninstall i guess. entered in the server info, port, userame/password in phpmailer.. still just hagin. Time to move on.. too many hours. It doesn't look like much help is available on these forums pertaining to this specific topic, i'm prolly wasting my time. thanks for reading
Re: spinning disc as well..Hi,
If your site is hosted on Godaddy, perhaps you need to use this server relay-hosting.secureserver.net instead of smtpout.secureserver.net. The username and password fields must be empty. Also, try to check the "Use SSL" option. If it doesn't work, check the "Don't Use" for the secure connection and send a test email. P.S Click on this link to get your hands on

Re: spinning disc as well..yes, I tried that as well. no go. I verified all of the settings were correct by testing in an email client. Anyways, I appreciate the response, but had to move on.. If ya can't get a prodcut to work and can't find support, it makes no sense in leaving it installed awaiting help that may never come.
Re: spinning disc as well..OK. If you find the correct settings for sites hosted on Godaddy with any other plugin/tool, please, post them here. It may be useful for other users who experience the same problem. Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: spinning disc as well..If anyone has not solved the problem, here is the trick:
Set the "From E-mail" to a valid account on your GoDaddy hosted account. I had my own personal e-mail for this field and the spinning disc appeared every time. As soon as I changed to an e-mail address on the domain of my site, it worked....Amazing. Hostname: relay-hosting.secureserver.net Username: <blank> Password: <blank> Port: 25 Don't use SSL
