Greetings,
No matter what e-mail settings I use, I get the following error
mysql_num_fields(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
It doesn't matter what I put in the fields, I get the same error. I have tried my provider's smtp settings, localhost, and default email. It has made no difference. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin (v2.2.6). I am on the current version of wordpress (2.7.1).
Any help would be great.
Thanks,

Re: E-Mail Settings ProblemsCurrent version has a bug with long form field names. If you you have one of the field length more than 250 characters this is the reason of the error.
This bug will be fixed in next version.
Re: E-Mail Settings ProblemsHello,
I've got a problem with the email settings. When I try to send an email with the test-tool in the email settings I always get the the following red message: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to off://smtp.kreisrunde-noerdlingen.de:25 (Unable to find the socket transport "off" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?) The smtp-server is different to the hosting server of the wordpress-blog. Because of this, localhost is not working, is it? Here are my settings: ![]() Can anyone help me on this topic? What does "Unable to find the socket transport "off" " mean? Thanks, Friiitz
